The United States of Nachos

So the idea of this site is to create an unofficial “Official” state nacho recipe for each US state and territory. And heck for the rest of the world, maybe. Eventually.

But how to get started? Should we simply go through states alphabetically, starting with Alabama?

For example, Alabama’s nachos might include barbecue chicken with white sauce.

Should we start a little closer to home, in a state that we know very well like Illinois?

Whatever else Illinois’ nachos include, giardiniera will have to be a part of it

Should we crowd-source ingredients for each state or do the research and decide for ourselves? Shouldn’t the people of each state get a say in this?

I’m still thinking about this and it may be a couple weeks or even months before I solve it. I haven’t even settled on a look for the site yet!
